Make a day of the blue
Also known as Kenepa Grandi, Grote Knip is a natural starting point for exploring the west coast. Take in the view above the bay, then leave plenty of time for the beach itself. A single unhurried stop often beats a day spent racing between coves.
A little planning goes a long way
Pack drinking water, sun protection, a towel, and a bag for your rubbish. Check current parking arrangements and available facilities when you arrive. Keep valuables with you and choose where to swim according to the conditions on the day.
Keep the west coast in your plans
Pair this beach with another nearby stop only if you have time to enjoy both. Save Playa Lagun for a different mood: a smaller cove with a completely different sense of scale.
